Leslee Bender


Leslee has been in the fitness industry for 25+ years and is a Graduate of the Applied Functional Science Institute. He has been part of the SCW and BOSU Development Teams, and he is a Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher (500RYT) and Content Specialist Contributing Author to industry magazines and texts like SCW, ACE and AFAA.



Kayla is the creator of Kayla Bonina Fitness, LLC. She is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, Sponsored Athlete through Swiftwick socks and a group fitness instructor. Having lost 100 pounds on her fitness journey, Kayla teaches her own circuit and motivational classes while also being certified in many different formats to help encourage and inspire people and helping them develop a Strong Mind | Strong Body.


Paul Bosley has worked in the fitness industry for 44 years. The first 30 years Paul worked in the operations of a chain of fitness centers starting in sales and ending as an owner operator. Paul was a shareholder in Bally’s Health & Tennis Corporation of America, Q The Sports Clubs and Titan Management Group. The last 14 years, Paul launched initially focusing on consulting work specializing in planning presales and grand openings. The company changed its focus to providing financing for the fitness industry by packaging SBA loan and equipment leases for new and existing fitness centers and personal training studios.


As a personal trainer, Billy Boynton specializes in correcting dysfunctional movement patterns while building core strength & coordination. He is a fitness professional and musician, holding degrees in Exercise Science & Emergency Medical Systems. Billy has an energetic passion for helping people reach their health & fitness goals. He is a Presenter for Power Music and the co-developer of SPORT by Group Rx. Certifications: ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Nationally Certified EMT, Certified Group Exercise Instructor.

Amber is a part-time wannabe drummer who discovered a love for music and movement through dance. She grew up performing and competing all over the country and by age 16 was teaching and sharing her passion with others. Amber studied dance at The University of Oklahoma and worked as an instructor training local dance teams and individuals to compete on regional and national levels. In 2010 she moved to Los Angeles where she met POUND creator Kirsten Potenza and became one of the first POUND ICONS (Master Trainers).



Dawn is the inventor of Fit Buddy, a multi-use fitness tool you can use from head to toe. Dawn’s interest in fitness occurred at age 23 when she herniated 5 discs while 8 months pregnant. Knowing how much easier prevention is than cure, she set out to create a tool to help people take care of their own body. With a background in Sun style Tai chi, Dawn incorporates Chinese medicine principles into her teaching.


Michelle’s passion for fitness started years ago with freestyle step and spin and grew to certifications with AFAA and Les Mills. Michelle’s love for barre grew quickly into a passion as well. Michelle holds a bachelors degree in Sports, Health, Leisure and Physical Studies from The University of Iowa. She lives in Greenville, South Carolina with her husband Benton and 2 children Olivia and Paige.


Chris is a Group Fitness Trainer at the ACAC Fitness and Wellness Centers in Charlottesville, VA and has been teaching for over 7 years. He is certified through AFAA and SCW and is trained in Les Mills BODYPUMP® and GRIT®. Chris’ passion comes from his years of experience in team sports, coaching and actively promoting health and fitness within the community. He recently was voted the 2017 DC Fitness Idol Winner.


Fabio is a Faculty Member at San Diego State University and UC, San Diego and a proud SCW Faculty Member. Previously, as an ACE exercise physiologist, he was the primary developer of ACE’s IFT™ model and live personal training educational workshops. Prior experiences include collegiate head coaching, strength and conditioning and opening/managing clubs for Club One. An international presenter, Fabio has been featured in multiple media outlets and is an accomplished chapter and book author.



Wendy is the Group Rx Training & Development Director for Power Music. Previously an Emergency Medical Technician, she is ACE certified and has been a professional in the fitness industry for 25 years. She oversees development of the Group Rx brands and develops RIP. Wendy has performed in hundreds of fitness/education videos and has trained fitness professionals both nationally and internationally since 1996.

Jonelle is the founder of the Zen Barre® certification program and studio. Through the creation and practice of Zen Barre®, she fuels her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for human services. Jonelle believes the fitness journey empowers and inspires by connecting the mind, body, and soul. She utilizes this holistic approach in her practice, teaching and methodology of the Zen Barre®. When not teaching or furthering the Zen Barre® curriculum, Jonelle is a Speech Language Pathologist.



Sohailla offers 20 years of experience as a registered dietitian, nutritionist, fitness pro and presenter. She is the founder of the 52-day Best Body Countdown program developed for fitness professionals to bring sound nutrition and accountability to their centers. She uses both books she has authored, the “Countdown to Your Best Body Success Journal” and the corresponding “Cookbook & Menu Plan,” along with her online coaching groups to ensure clients reach and maintain their Best Bodies.


Luke began his Pilates journey almost 20 years ago, teaching Yoga and Pilates before dance classes. He finished both his 200 hr Yoga Certification from Frog Lotus and also a 600 hr Comprehensive Pilates Certification with Balance Body. He is also a massage therapist and certified personal trainer with National Personal Training Institute. Luke is a contemporary Pilates teacher who loves to explore the exercises and develop true connections with your body.

With 20 years of industry experience, Steve is well known for the implementation of group fitness/wellness programs across premier facilities, universities, and community associations. Ann was awarded ACE / IHRSA Personal Trainer of the Year in 2001 and has been a popular speaker at Club Industry, SCW MANIA, IAFC, and IHRSA Conventions since 2002. Raisedbarre founder, Laurie Greenway’s experience in fitness spans 30 years and includes Personal Training, many years in Group Fitness and Group Fitness Management, with certifications with ACE, AFAA, Les Mills®, and a comprehensive Pilates Certification with Balanced Body®. Laurie’s love for Barre grew as her passion for Pilates grew. Laurie holds a degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama. She lives in Greenville, SC with her husband, Kirk and has 3 grown children.


Elian has a background in professional dance and came to the U.S. from Amsterdam in 1995 as a licensed fitness instructor. She is certified in a wide variety of disciplines and creates and develops her own A.F.T.E.R.™ programs for seniors and health fanatics. Elian owns a yoga & fitness studio in Texas and works at the Treehouse, an addiction rehab facility, as a wellness coach specializing in pain management, anxiety & depression. With more than 37 years of experience in the fitness industry, she is excited to be a part of the SCW faculty!


Jenn is a former professional dancer who performed with many superstars including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Usher. Her love of movement led her to a career as an international presenter, educator, author and fitness business consultant. She is also a sought-after choreographer with credits including the Miss America pageant, the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Atlanta, GA, and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Chris is a WATERinMOTION® Champion, Master Trainer and Presenter. He has been teaching group exercise since 2007 and WATERinMOTION® since 2011. Chris has been featured in numerous WATERinMOTION and SCW Fitness DVDs. He has worked at ACAC Fitness and Wellness Centers for the past 12 years and based at their corporate offices in Charlottesville, Va, where he is currently Regional Group Exercise Director, overseeing group exercise operations and services for all 11 of their facilities in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Chris is certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), the Athletics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and is a certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), as well as a certified BODYFLOW® and BODYPUMP® Instructor through Les Mills. Mary is a 700-hour RYT, Certified Personal Trainer and classically trained former professional dancer. She teaches both group classes and in private settings in NYC and leads retreats worldwide. Jeff is a world-renowned fitness presenter who has lived in South Africa, Puerto Rico and the United States. Melissa is a Kinesiology Department faculty member at the University of North Georgia. She has 30 years of experience and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She taught elementary PE and coordinated fitness programs for Royal Caribbean, Home Depot, and orthopedic surgeons. Melissa is the author of WATER EXERCISE (Human Kinetics 2015), a member of the educational faculty and a DVD presenter for SCW. Irene is an award-winning fitness professional and internationally recognized speaker. An Orangetheory Fitness head coach and adjunct faculty at Drake University, Irene holds an M.S. in Exercise Science. She is faculty for SCW Fitness and a senior master trainer for TRX®, Tabata Bootcamp, Barre Above, Power Systems and JumpSport Fitness. Named IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year (2015, 2017) and SCW Presenter of the Year (2016), Irene is also a RYKA FitPro Ambassador and the author of 15 educational manuals and two books.

Kolleen owns and directs Core Physique, a unique approach to fitness, in Alpharetta, GA that focuses on personal training, strength and conditioning, and nutrition coaching. Lori Lowell has been serving the fitness industry for over 25 years. Owning her own clubs, lecturing, and consulting she has contributed to the health and growth of the industry. Lori is the 2015 recipient of the IHRSA Julie Main Women’s Leadership Award and continues to provide valuable information to industry magazines, publications, and conventions.
