Adam Clark


Adam Clark is a business owner, personal trainer, speaker and author. With seven years of experience in the personal training industry, Adam holds a B.S. in Exercise Science. He owns a personal training studio in Brewer, Maine. Carolyn Erickson


Carolyn is the President and CEO for CE Fitness Consulting LLC and has been in the fitness industry for over 34 years. From teaching classes and training clients to multi-unit health club management, Carolyn is a former District Manager for sixteen 24 Hour fitness locations in San Diego. She also served as the Director of Sales and Business Development for Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED. Carolyn is currently the National Education Sales Director for Savvier Fitness and the Education Coordinator for Stroops. Steve Feinberg


Steve created the Speedball Fitness class format and developed the instructor training program. With 20 years of industry experience, Steve is well known for the implementation of group fitness/wellness programs across premier facilities, universities, and community associations. He is also a highly regarded group fitness instructor and strength and conditioning coach in New York City.

Andrew Gavigan


Andrew is a 13-year veteran of the fitness industry with focus on corporate wellness services, portable fitness equipment, and fitness accessibility. Ann Gilbert is an owner of two, Shapes Fitness for Women, franchises. Ann oversees the operations of as many as 25 certified Personal Trainers, 50 Group Fitness professionals, and coordinates fee-based group personal training programs. Ann was awarded ACE / IHRSA Personal Trainer of the Year in 2001 and has been a popular speaker at Club Industry, SCW MANIA, IAFC, and IHRSA Conventions since 2002. Ann writes for Fitness magazines and can be seen on local TV weekly.

Scott Gillespie


Scott’s a 35-year industry veteran & owns Saco Sport & Fitness. He’s served on the IHRSA Board, the Industry Leadership Council and chairs his Chamber of Commerce Board. Scott’s a frequent presenter for IHRSA, NEHRSA & Club Industry. He’s been featured in and contributed to CBI, Club Solutions and Club Insider magazines. Scott consults with independent clubs on expanding programs and improving sales systems for Membership and Programs.

Jenn Hall


Jenn is a former professional dancer who performed with many superstars including Beyoncé Jay-Z and Usher. Her love of movement led her to a career as an international presenter, educator, author and fitness business consultant. She is also a sought-after choreographer with credits including the Miss America pageant, the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Atlanta, GA, and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Len Kravitz, PhD, CSCS is the program coordinator of exercise science and a researcher at the University of New Mexico where he recently received the Presidential Award of Distinction and the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award. He is a 2016 inductee into the National Fitness Hall of Fame. Dr. Kravitz was awarded the Fitness Educator of the Year by the American Council on Exercise and has received the Canadian Fitness Professional Lifetime Achievement Award.

Melissa Layne


Melissa is a Kinesiology Department faculty member at the University of North Georgia. She has 30 years of experience and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She taught elementary PE and coordinated fitness programs for Royal Caribbean, Home Depot and orthopedic surgeons. Melissa is the author of WATER EXERCISE (Human Kinetics 2015), a member of the educational faculty and a DVD presenter for SCW. She is well versed at taking complicated material and breaking it down into easily understood pieces.

Jennifer Urmston Lowe


Jennifer graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Business Administration. She worked for Eastman Kodak in sales. Subsequently, she managed personal training and corporate fitness centers. Jennifer joined Sports & Fitness in 1998. Presently she is their Underwriting Supervisor, National Account Manager, and Marketing Manager. She is a founding board member of AFS and a member of WIFA. She is included in the 2018 Insurance Business America Elite Women.

Dianne McCaughey


Dianne McCaughey Ph.D. is an award winning fitness specialist with more than 35 years experience in personal training, group exercise, coaching, and post-rehabilitation. She is a master trainer for multiple companies and practices and teaches optimal wellness emphasizing the mind, body and spirit. Dianne is an international speaker, author and presenter who has traveled the world touching lives. As a gerontologist, her mission and purpose is to educate, inspire, and empower people to be the best they can be.

Billy Polson


Billy Polson, is a nationally recognized fitness entrepreneur, presenter, and business consultant. Suzanne Rich is a Fitness Sales Consultant with over 20 years of fitness sales experience, owned a fitness center for 10 years, holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree with Rowan University in Wellness & Lifestyle Management. Suzanne also holds various personal training certifications, group fitness certifications (including 3 Les Mills programs) and multiple other advanced credentials in the industry for over 20 years.

Dan Ritchie


Dan Ritchie has a broad background in the fitness industry including training and management in commercial, for-profit, not for-profit, and educational facilities. Yury Rockit


Yury exudes fitness versatility as a land and aqua certified group fitness instructor, personal trainer, mindful movement and meditation specialist, certified life coach and a world-renown continuing education provider. Yury won the SCW Instructor of the Year Award for 2016 and has appeared in internationally selling instructor training videos for specialty groups including active aging and the workout series for NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.” Yury is CEO and owner of Ki Mind Body Studio in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Dave Smith


Dave Smith is an online health coach who was chosen as “Canada’s Top Fitness Professional” in 2013 for pioneering the world of online fitness coaching. He is the founder of the Online Trainers Federation, which focuses on helping fitness professionals grow their brands and online businesses. In addition, Dave hosts two popular podcasts, wrote his first book called “Can’t Lose” and does speaking engagements at numerous fitness and business conferences each year.

Emily Sopo


Emily is a Myzone Master Trainer and Senior Account Manager, where she works with club operators to successfully integrate Myzone’s wearable technology into their fitness business. Emily has experience as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, online fitness coach, fitness manager, and master trainer. She is a certified personal trainer through NASM and group fitness instructor through AFAA. Emily holds her M.S. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, from Long Beach State University.

Tyler Valencia


After graduating from CSU Long Beach with a degree in Kinesiology, Tyler turned an internship with a fitness education company into a full-time position. Throughout his time with the same company, he excelled at several positions, developing his skillset with online instructional design and eventually leading him to accept an executive position with the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT). In 2016, Tyler founded the Kinesiology Institute for Performance Specialists (KIPS).
