Functional movement, range of motion and the ability to perform unassisted daily activities are strongly linked to joint flexibility, soft tissue range of motion, balance and agility. This session explores aging populations with respect to mobility and relaxation techniques including a class design that is unique and appealing for this potentially fragile community.

Irene Lewis-McCormick, MS, CSCS
Irene is an honored SCW Faculty Member having authored and contributed to several SCW Certifications. She is an adjunct faculty at Drake University, holds an M.S. in Exercise Science and is an award winning presenter. Irene is the Regional Trainer for Orangetheory Fitness and head coach in Iowa and an Orangetheory Fitness head coach. She is an international conference speaker and has been featured in dozens of DVDs. Irene is a RYKA® FitPro Ambassador and a Subject Matter Expert for NASM and ACE.
