Exercise during pregnancy can be safe, effective and fun! Research has shown that there are numerous benefits associated with strength training that offer both short and long term benefits to both the fetus and the mother. However, her changing body can create some unique postural and muscular imbalances. Addressing common postural unevenness as well as providing safe and balanced exercises can assist the fitness professional in customizing a program that can go a long way in achieving better results from her exercise program during pregnancy and beyond.
Equipment: Medicine ball, stability ball, yoga mat, ½ foam roller, resistance tubing, and a stable chair.
